Features

  • Environmentally friendly materials : The module is made of black environmentally friendly materials that meet modern safety standards and are suitable for various usage environments.
  • RGB color mixing : The module has built-in RGB LEDs, which can create a variety of color effects by controlling the brightness of different colors.
  • Anti-reverse insertion interface : Equipped with a 2.54mm red anti-reverse insertion terminal to improve the safety and reliability of the connection.
  • Compatibility : The module is compatible with a variety of microcontroller control boards (such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.), making it easy to implement different projects.
  • Easy to install : Includes a 3-pin white reverse-insertion-proof connector, making wiring simple and suitable for beginners.
  • Mounting holes : Includes two LEGO-compatible mounting holes with a diameter of 3mm, making it easy to mount modules on LEGO or other devices.

Specification

  • Model : KE4007
  • LED type : RGB LED (red, green, blue)
  • Wire length : 200mm
  • Operating voltage : DC 3.3V - 5V
  • Interface type : 3-pin anti-reverse connector with a 2.54mm pitch
  • Positioning hole size : 3mm in diameter
  • Control signals : Digital signals (high and low levels)
  • Dimensions : 32mm x 23.5mm x 12mm
  • Power consumption : Approximately 20mA (when operating at 5V)

Working Principle

This module is also based on digital signal control, and its working principle is as follows:

  • Power connection : The module is connected to the power supply through the GND and VCC ports. The operating voltage range is 3.3V to 5V to ensure that the LED works normally.
  • Signal control : The signal terminal (S) receives input signals from the controller and controls the states of red, green and blue LEDs to achieve different color outputs.
  • PWM dimming function : Supports PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) technology, allowing users to adjust the brightness of each color to achieve a mixing effect and thus produce multiple colors.
  • Connection configuration : The modular design facilitates quick assembly and disassembly, while red anti-reverse insertion terminals and wires ensure safe connections and reduce the risk of incorrect connections.

Pin Definition

  • VCC : Connect to the positive terminal of the power supply to provide the required voltage to the module. Ensure the power supply is between 3.3V and 5V to avoid damage.
  • GND : Connects to the negative terminal of the power supply to ensure the module functions properly and provides a stable reference power.
  • R (Red signal terminal) : Controls the state of the red LED; it lights up when the signal is high.
  • G (Green Signal Terminal) : Controls the state of the green LED; it lights up when the signal is high.
  • B (Blue Signal Terminal) : Controls the state of the blue LED; it lights up when the signal is high.

Application Scenario

Keyes' new 2021 DIY electronic building block RGB LED module is widely used in:

  • Education : Helps students understand the principles of RGB color mixing, applicable to electronic courses and practical activities.
  • Home Decor : As a creative lighting or decorative lamp, the color can be adjusted as needed.
  • DIY projects : Suitable for a variety of creative projects, such as making your own lamps or electronic toys.
  • Experiment : Used in experiments to test and demonstrate LED color changes, facilitating observation of project effects.
